WELCOME TO THE
Newtown Creek Coalition
Our Mission
To improve, protect and preserve Newtown Creek and to encourage appropriate use of this natural and historic resource by the community.
The Newtown Creek Coalition (NCC) was established in 2006 by a group of interested citizens living in the vicinity of Newtown Creek along with representatives from the governing bodies of Newtown Borough and Newtown Township.
Newtown Creek
Newtown Creek is a 9.6 mile long tributary of the Neshaminy Creek. It runs to the south along the western boundary of Newtown Borough, bisecting Newtown Township. From the days of founder William Penn, Newtown Creek and the Common along its banks have played a vital role in the area’s social, agricultural, commercial, and recreational history.
